Wow you play the guitar in such an amazingly soulful way. Such heart as always on this. I like the way the beats mix with this and the way the bending of the strings portray to me the passing of cars... Lovely recording quality. Excellent stuff Fred.

Even hearing this many times I am still twisted in a knot. This must be why the constant references to today. I don't know for sure. In fact the references started PRIOR to my hearing it. So you've done something here that actually plays backward in time, too, and I was apparently hearing it a few weeks ago, even. What plug-in did you use to do that???
So the bassline, man. The bassline is doing something untoward. It's kind of doing the twisting, while the guitar is doing the salt. The shimmy.
I don't even want to approach the percussion stuff because... you know how sometimes there'll be somebody using a belt sander in the workshop, he'll have those funny glasses on and there'll be sparks flying everywhere and you need to tell him something but you figure if you try right now somebody's gonna lose a finger? It's like that.

complete creativity, so glad to know you had some time to dedicate to the mind-box.
I really love the piano rhythm, it's just the foot on the ground, whilst the continuous shuffle of the rhythm section scuffs the floor.
so colorful as always, beautiful tone and sounds, it doesn't feel synthetic, and all the sonic world is rejoicing.

There is a sense of movement in this music. Ever hear "Traffic Jam" by Artie Shaw? That had quite a bit of movement in it also (that was from the 1940's). I like your Jazz, man. Great stuff!

Great use of space, reverb, panning, nice mix quality. I'm not a big jazz lover but liked the guitar phrases, the percussion seems a little chaotic at times but then I guess that reflects what walking on a city streets can be like, somtimes calm and cool, sometimes hustle and bustle and sometimes run for your life from the muggers and street violence. This tune reflects all of those energies and emotions...

Ho! Fantastic rhythm section, and I do believe this is some of the best guitar work I've heard from you, feels very natural, flows so well with the wonderful frenzy of this music. But is frenzy really the right word? It's full of energy, but there's a lot of smoothness and cohesion despite the sheer volume of stuff that's happening all at once. Damn, I mean how would you go about putting something like this together?
